Selectarc

Our history

Discover the history of Selectarc, from its origins in 1796 to the present day, and how we have evolved to become a world leader in the design and manufacture of welding and brazing filler metals, combining family tradition, innovation and international development.

Our heritage: over two centuries of innovation

Since its foundation in 1796 by Juvénal Viellard, Selectarc Group, owner of the Selectarc activities, has established itself as the welding and brazing division of Viellard Migeon & Compagnie. This French family-owned industrial group has a rich industrial heritage, drawing on a solid ‘industrial memory’ to forge its vision of the future. Viellard Migeon & Compagnie’s longevity and prosperity stem from the continuity of its family shareholding, the expertise of its teams and the robustness of its profits.

To these traditional values, Selectarc adds essential strengths such as innovation, quality and the value of partnership, placing us at the forefront of the welding and brazing sector. Our ability to evolve while remaining true to our roots is the key to our success and international reputation.

A solid corporate culture for sustainable development

Beyond its history, Viellard Migeon & Compagnie also draws its strength from the loyalty of its family shareholders, the skills of its staff and the consistency of its profits. Selectarc’s vision of long-term development and value creation is shared by all members of the Group, and is underpinned by innovation, quality and partnership.

Our vision for the future

Each milestone in our history represents a milestone in our ongoing quest to offer innovative and superior welding and brazing solutions, satisfying the requirements of our customers around the world.

We look to the future with the ambition to continue to grow and innovate in our sector. The fusion of tradition and innovation will remain our mainstay, as we seek to further extend our international reach.

At Selectarc, we are committed to maintaining the highest level of quality and service for our customers and partners, everywhere in the world.
