Selectarc B60
This high-temperature electrode is a basic coated electrode designed for welding creep-resistant steels. It offers excellent resistance to hydrogen attacks, making it suitable for chemical installations and various piping systems and boiler applications. The electrode provides a soft fusion, easy slag removal, and a good appearance of the weld deposit. It’s specifically formulated for use with steels commonly found in pressure vessels and boilers.
The Selectarc B60 electrode is ideal for welding creep-resistant steels used in demanding applications such as chemical installations, piping systems, and boiler fabrication. Recommended welding parameters include current values based on electrode diameter and interpass temperatures between 100°C and 250°C. Heat treatment at 650°C for 1 hour after welding is advised to optimize mechanical properties. Slag removal should be straightforward due to the electrode’s design.
