This ER2594 welding wire is a low carbon solid wire specifically designed for submerged arc welding of duplex and super duplex (austenitic-ferritic microstructure) stainless steels. It offers exceptional resistance against pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion in chloride-containing environments. The wire’s key attributes include high strength combined with corrosion resistance, enabling its use in demanding applications. It can be used up to a service temperature of +250°C. This wire is primarily utilized for welding components within pumps, vessels, and piping systems, particularly those constructed from duplex and super duplex stainless steels requiring high strength and corrosion resistance. It is commonly used with Austenitic-ferritic stainless steels such as S31803, S32304, S32900, S32550, 52N+ and S32750/S32760.
