Selectarc UP 2209

This is a low carbon solid wire specifically designed for submerged arc welding of duplex stainless steels, including Ur 35N™ and 45N™. It exhibits excellent resistance to pitting corrosion in chloride environments, as well as crevice and stress corrosion cracking. The wire is suitable for applications requiring high strength combined with corrosion resistance, with a service temperature limit of +250°C. It is characterized by a PREN value exceeding 35.

This wire is primarily used in the fabrication of pumps, vessels, and piping systems within the process industries. It is suitable for welding austenitic-ferritic stainless steel grades such as S31803 (31803), S32304 (32304) and S32900 (32900), frequently utilized in challenging environments requiring robust corrosion protection.
