Selectarc TIG NI90

This nickel alloy rod (NiCr20Co18Ti3) – designated ISO 18274: S Ni 7090 – is specifically designed for GTAW welding of nickel alloys such as NIMONIC 80A and 90. It offers a precise chemical composition, with a minimum of 18% C and a maximum of 0.13% C, ensuring optimal weld properties. It’s characterized by its suitability for demanding applications requiring high-temperature strength and corrosion resistance.

This TIG NI90 rod is ideal for welding applications in high-temperature environments, including combustion chambers, gas turbines, the petrochemical industry, and ovens. It’s particularly suited for welding applications where the mechanical properties of the weld metal are critical. Welding parameters, including shielding gas flow rates (6-12 l/min for primary shielding and 3-6 l/min for back shielding with argon), should be carefully considered based on the specific application and welding procedure.
