This solid rod is specifically designed for Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) applications, particularly for the repair and joining of ferritic or martensitic spheroidal cast iron. The weld deposit exhibits excellent resistance to cracking and is easily machinable. It’s suitable for various cast iron components, including pipes and flanges.

Ideal for repairing and joining ferritic and martensitic spheroidal cast iron. Also applicable for heterogeneous assembly with steel or copper/nickel alloys. Recommended for applications involving cast iron pipes, flanges and other cast iron components. Preheating is advised for massive cast iron parts. Precise control of heat input is crucial to minimize cracking.
