This copper-coated solid rod is specifically designed for use in GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) processes, particularly for creep-resistant steels alloyed with Chromium and Molybdenum (2.25% Cr – 1% Mo). It’s intended for applications where high temperatures are involved, up to 600°C. The rod offers excellent weldability and is suitable for use in demanding industrial environments. It is supplied with a copper coating to enhance welding performance and provide a good surface for wetting and penetration. Mechanical properties, including tensile strength, elongation, and conductivity, are enhanced through post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) at 700°C for 1 hour.

This product is ideal for welding creep-resistant steels like EN 10CrMo 9-10, ASTM A182, ASTM A213, and others. It’s commonly used in the petrochemical and chemical industries where resistance to high temperatures and stress is crucial. Welding parameters (shielding gas flow rates, preheating temperatures) are recommended for optimal results, particularly when welding these specific steel grades.
