Selectarc TIG F63

This ER80S-B2 welding rod is a copper-coated solid rod specifically designed for use with creep-resistant steels containing Chromium and Molybdenum (1.25% Cr – 0.5% Mo). It’s recommended for applications where service temperatures reach up to 550°C. This product is suitable for welding steels adhering to various standards including EN 13CrMo 4-5 A, ASTM A182 gr F11, F12, and others. The rod provides excellent creep resistance, and its performance is enhanced through post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) at 620°C for 1 hour.

This TIG F63 welding rod is primarily utilized in the petrochemical and chemical industries for welding creep-resistant steels. It’s ideal for applications demanding high strength and resistance to deformation under elevated temperatures. The recommended welding parameters – using shielding gas (Argon or Nitrogen) and specific preheating/interpass temperatures – are essential for achieving optimal weld quality and performance. The PWHT is critical for enhancing the mechanical properties of the weld metal.
