This solid rod is specifically designed for GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) of ferritic stainless steels containing 17% Chromium, such as grade 430. It’s suitable for both assembly and hardfacing applications. The material exhibits good oxidation resistance up to 900°C when used in sulfurous gases, commonly found in chimneys. Furthermore, it offers resistance to atmospheric corrosion, water corrosion, and light acids, maintaining performance up to a service temperature of +450°C. It’s a versatile option for various welding needs, particularly in demanding environments.

This rod is primarily used for hardfacing and assembly of ferritic stainless steels (specifically grade 430). Ideal applications include the surfacing of piping systems, fittings, and valves.
