Selectarc TIG D25/09W

This low carbon content solid rod is specifically designed for GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) of duplex and super duplex (austenitic-ferritic microstructure) stainless steels. It demonstrates excellent resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion, particularly in chloride-containing media. The product is suitable for components requiring high strength combined with resistance to corrosive attack. Its service temperature limit is up to +250°C. It’s compatible with various stainless steel grades including S31803, S32304, S32900, S32550, S32750, S32760, and is frequently used in pumps, vessels, and piping systems.

This rod is primarily used in GTAW applications for high-performance stainless steel components exposed to aggressive environments. Welding parameters (shielding gas flow rates and back shielding) should be carefully adjusted based on the specific application and stainless steel grade. The recommended back shielding configurations (Argon, Nitrogen, or copper backing support) are provided to mitigate ‘back end’ rust phenomena.
