Selectarc TIG 21/10MA
This solid tungsten electrode rod is designed for GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) of high-carbon heat-resistant stainless steels. Specifically formulated for steels with similar chemical compositions resisting scaling and oxidation up to 1100°C, it offers excellent creep resistance. It’s a key component for welding applications in demanding environments such as ovens, thermal equipment utilized in heat treatment, and chemical installations where high temperatures and corrosive conditions are present.
This electrode rod is primarily used for GTAW welding of austenitic heat-resistant stainless steels. It is ideal for applications involving high-temperature welding, particularly in environments subject to scaling and oxidation, such as industrial ovens, thermal processing equipment, and chemical processing plants. It’s recommended when welding materials like X15CrNiSi20-12 (1.4828), X12CrNi22-12 (1.4829), S30815 (253MA X8CrNiSiN21-11 1.4893), or X9CrNiSiNCe21-11-2 (1.4835). Welding procedures should utilize Argon shielding gas at a flow rate of 6-12 l/min, with optional back shielding using Nitrogen or Argon, potentially with a copper backing support to prevent ‘back end’ rust.
