Selectarc TIG 20/10MNBS

This is a low carbon solid rod with increased silicon content, specifically formulated for Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) of stainless steels stabilized with Niobium, similar to 318 and 316Ti. It offers excellent resistance against intergranular corrosion, device corrosion in chloride atmospheres, and oxidation, allowing for service temperatures up to 400°C. The high silicon content improves alloy fluidity during welding. This product is particularly suitable for applications in petrochemical industries and for seawater applications.

This TIG wire is designed for welding stainless steels, especially those stabilized with Niobium. It provides protection against corrosion and oxidation, making it ideal for demanding applications such as petrochemical plants and marine environments. It’s commonly used with Argon or Argon/Nitrogen shielding gas combinations, and a copper backing support may be employed to prevent ‘back end’ rust phenomena. The recommended gas flow rates are between 6 and 12 l/min for Ar, and 3-6 l/min for Ar/N2.
