Selectarc TIG 20/10MNB

This low carbon solid rod, designated ER318, is specifically designed for GTAW (Gas Tungsten Arc Welding) of stainless steels stabilized with Niobium (like 318) or Titanium (like 316Ti). It offers excellent resistance against intergranular corrosion, device corrosion in chloride atmospheres, and oxidation, allowing for service temperatures up to 400°C. Primarily used in petrochemical industries and for applications involving seawater.

Suitable for welding stainless steel grades such as 316, 316L, 316Ti, 316Cb and S31600. Typically used with argon shielding gas at a flow rate of 6-12 l/min, alongside a back shielding gas of nitrogen or argon, often supplemented with a copper backing support to prevent ‘back end’ rust formation. Welding currents range from 6 to 12 amps.
