Selectarc TIG 18/15

This low carbon solid rod is specifically designed for Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW) of low carbon stainless steels containing approximately 3.5% Molybdenum. It offers enhanced general corrosion resistance, particularly against crevice and pitting corrosion in chloride solutions, compared to 316L grades. This makes it a suitable choice for demanding applications requiring robust protection against corrosion, especially in environments exposed to aggressive fluids.

Ideal for welding and cladding applications on austenitic Cr-Ni-Mo stainless steels and clad plates. Commonly used in chemical and petrochemical industries, refineries, food processing, and shipbuilding for joining pipes and tanks. The product is suited for welding base materials like S31603, S31653, S31700, S31703, ensuring high-quality joints with superior corrosion resistance.
