Selectarc PHOSBRAZ M73
PHOSBRAZ M73 is a high-fluidity copper phosphorous brazing alloy specifically formulated for robust brazing applications involving fittings, pipes, and general fit-up operations. This self-fluxing alloy offers excellent corrosion resistance comparable to copper, though its performance may be compromised in the presence of sulfur-containing gases or at elevated temperatures, similar to other copper phosphorous alloys. It’s a versatile solution for joining copper to copper, bronze, and brass, and is particularly suitable for electrical and plumbing applications.
This alloy is primarily used for brazing copper to copper, bronze, or brass components. It’s a reliable choice for electrical applications, plumbing, and where strong, corrosion-resistant joints are required. While suitable for temperatures up to 200°C in short-term service, it’s important to note that it shouldn’t be used with sulphur-containing media or ferrous materials (steel, iron, nickel, cobalt) due to the potential for brittle phase formation. Applications extend to air conditioning and refrigeration systems up to -20°C.
