Selectarc PHOSBRAZ E80

PHOSBRAZ E80+ is a high-quality copper phosphorous brazing alloy formulated for excellent fluidity and robust brazing of fittings, pipes, and assemblies, achieving narrow joint gaps. Its high phosphorus content contributes to self-fluxing capabilities. This alloy offers corrosion resistance comparable to copper, although performance may be affected in environments containing sulfurous gases or at elevated temperatures (e.g., cooking ranges). It’s suitable for joining copper to copper and, with Phosbraz flux, for use with cuprous alloys, and is employed within the electrical and plumbing industries. Note that it is not recommended for joining ferrous metals (steel) or alloys containing iron, nickel or cobalt due to potential for brittle joint formation.

PHOSBRAZ E80+ is predominantly utilized for brazing copper to copper applications, offering a self-fluxing system that eliminates the need for additional flux. It’s a well-suited choice for plumbing and electrical industries, particularly for joining pipes and fittings. Its temperature range allows for use in air conditioning and refrigeration systems (up to +150°C without strength loss and -20°C), though short-term joint operating temperatures should not exceed 200°C. Careful consideration should be given to the base materials being joined – it’s crucial to avoid using it with steel or alloys containing iron, nickel, or cobalt to prevent the formation of brittle joint phases. Always consult the MSDS for fumes information.

Framatome entre au capital de Selectarc

Le 11 juin 2025 – Framatome annonce une prise de participation dans Selectarc à hauteur de 40%, aux côtés de son actionnaire majoritaire Viellard Migeon & Compagnie.
