Selectarc PHOSBRAZ AG60

PHOSBRAZ AG60 is a high-strength capillary brazing alloy specifically designed for hard brazing applications. It contains a significant silver content, enhancing ductility, and includes nickel to refine the alloy, improve mechanical properties, and boost electrical conductivity. This alloy is particularly suited for use with copper and copper-brass pipes in combustible installations and low-temperature applications. However, it’s crucial to note that this alloy is not recommended for use with sulphur-containing media or for joining steels or materials containing iron, nickel, or cobalt due to the formation of brittle phases and potential corrosion issues under specific conditions.

PHOSBRAZ AG60 is primarily used for hard brazing of copper and copper-brass pipes, especially in combustible installations and low-temperature applications, such as air conditioning and refrigeration systems. It can withstand service temperatures ranging from +150°C to -50°C without loss of strength. The alloy is also suitable for use with flame. It’s essential to consider the potential for corrosion if exposed to sulphur-containing gases or at elevated temperatures.
