Selectarc PHOSBRAZ AG50

PHOSBRAZ AG50+ is a manual brazing alloy specifically formulated for high-strength capillary brazing applications. Its higher silver content significantly enhances ductility in the brazed joint, while also refining the alloy, improving mechanical characteristics and electrical conductivity. This alloy is particularly suitable for use with copper and occasionally copper brass pipes in combustible installations and low-temperature applications. However, it is crucial to note that this alloy should not be used with sulfur-containing media, or in conjunction with steels or materials containing iron, nickel, or cobalt, as this can lead to the formation of brittle phases and compromise corrosion resistance.

PHOSBRAZ AG50+ is recommended for the brazing of copper and copper brass pipes, particularly in combustible installations and low-temperature applications, including air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Operating temperatures range from +150°C to -50°C without significant loss of strength. It is essential to adhere to the usage guidelines regarding media compatibility to maintain optimal joint properties and corrosion resistance.
