Selectarc PHOSBRAZ AG100

PHOSBRAZ AG100 is a manual brazing alloy formulated with a high silver content, designed for robust brazing of copper and optionally copper brass pipes, particularly in combustible installations. It offers enhanced ductility and improves mechanical properties and electrical conductivity of the brazed joint. This alloy is specifically recommended for low-temperature applications and is not suitable for joining ferrous metals (steel, iron, nickel, cobalt) due to the formation of brittle phases. Its corrosion resistance is comparable to copper, but can be compromised under sulphur-containing environments or at elevated temperatures, leading to progressive deterioration.

PHOSBRAZ AG100 is ideally suited for hard brazing applications in air conditioning and refrigeration systems, operating within a temperature range of +150°C to -50°C, while maintaining its strength. It can be used with a flame. However, it’s crucial to avoid using it with ferrous metals to prevent joint degradation. The alloy’s robust characteristics make it suitable for applications requiring high ductility and conductivity.
