Selectarc PHOSBRAZ 815

PHOSBRAZ 815 is a copper phosphorous brazing alloy specifically designed for oven brazing applications. This alloy is formulated for joining copper components and offers advantages such as self-fluxing capabilities, eliminating the need for additional flux. Its low melting point and excellent fluidity contribute to energy efficiency. While commonly used for copper-to-copper joints, it can also be employed with cuprous alloys and Phosbraz flux. However, it is crucial to note that this alloy is not suitable for joining ferrous materials (steel, iron, nickel, cobalt) due to the formation of brittle phases.

PHOSBRAZ 815 is primarily utilized in workshop settings for automatic oven brazing. It’s particularly effective for joining copper to copper parts, and its self-fluxing properties simplify the process. The alloy’s fluidity also makes it ideal for high-speed heating cycles. While capable of operating in air conditioning and refrigeration systems (up to -20°C), its use with ferrous metals is strictly prohibited to avoid compromising joint strength. The product is commonly used in multiple alloy combinations for simultaneous joining of various components.
