Selectarc MIG F82
This solid wire, designated MIG F82, is a low-alloy (2% Ni) copper-coated welding wire specifically designed for gas metal arc welding (GMAW) of fine-grain steels and cold tough steels. It exhibits excellent impact strength at low temperatures, down to -60°C, making it suitable for demanding applications. The wire is formulated to meet stringent requirements for liquid gas distribution systems, including pipes and tanks, as well as offshore and petrochemical installations. It’s characterized by a specific composition allowing for reliable welds in these challenging environments.
This wire is primarily utilized for GMAW welding of fine-grain steels and cold tough steels in applications requiring high impact strength at low temperatures. Specifically, it’s ideal for welding components in liquid gas distribution (pipes, tanks), offshore structures, and petrochemical facilities. Welding parameters, including current, voltage, and shielding gas composition (Ar + CO2), should be carefully selected and adjusted based on the specific base material and desired weld properties. Consult the MSDS for detailed information on fumes and safety precautions.
