Selectarc MIG F691
This solid MIG wire, designated MIG F691, is specifically formulated for welding creep-resistant steels. It features a copper coating and a composition of 9% Chromium, 1% Molybdenum, along with additions of Niobium, Vanadium, and Nitrogen, enhancing creep resistance. It’s ideal for applications up to 650°C and is compatible with both Argon and Carbon Dioxide shielding gases. The wire provides excellent mechanical properties when subjected to post-weld heat treatment (PWHT).
This wire is primarily utilized in the chemical and petrochemical industries for welding high-performance steels like P91, X10CrMoVNb 9-1, and others requiring resistance to creep at elevated temperatures. It’s suited for applications demanding robust and durable welds, particularly in environments subject to high temperatures and stress.
