Selectarc MIG F69
This copper-coated solid wire is specifically designed for gas metal arc welding (GMAW) of creep-resistant steels containing chromium and molybdenum (5% Cr – 0.5% Mo). It’s suitable for high-temperature applications where robustness and resistance to deformation under stress are critical. The wire’s composition allows for welding at service temperatures up to 600°C. Important: Following welding, post-weld heat treatment (PWHT) at 745°C for 1 hour is recommended to achieve specified mechanical properties.
This wire is ideal for applications requiring high-temperature welding of creep-resistant steels. Typical uses include the fabrication of high-temperature exchangers, piping systems for steam and pressure vessels, and components within boilers. Due to the PWHT requirement, it’s particularly suited for critical structural elements where long-term performance and reliability are paramount.
