Selectarc MIG F61
This solid wire is specifically designed for gas metal arc welding (GMAW) of low alloy steels and creep-resisting steels, particularly those containing molybdenum. It is recommended for use with a mixture of argon and carbon dioxide shielding gases. The wire offers excellent toughness, even at low temperatures down to -20°C, making it suitable for demanding applications. It’s frequently utilized in the fabrication of piping systems, boilers, and pressure vessels.
This wire is ideal for welding construction steels (e.g., EN 16Mo3 A161/A209/A250 gr T1; A335 gr P1, P355GH), creep-resisting steels (e.g., A414 gr G; A612; S420N – S460N), and various other steel grades such as A572 gr 65, A633 gr E, S500N, and A225 gr C. It’s commonly applied in the construction and maintenance of piping systems, boilers, and pressure vessels, particularly in environments requiring resistance to creep at elevated temperatures. Welding parameters should be carefully adjusted based on the specific material being welded and the desired weld quality.
