Selectarc MIG F57HP
High-performance copper-coated solid wire specifically designed for gas metal arc welding (GMAW) of low-carbon and low-alloy steels. This wire offers excellent mechanical properties, including performance down to -40°C, making it suitable for demanding applications. It’s formulated for use with a variety of shielding gases, including mixtures of Argon and Carbon Dioxide (Ar + CO2), or 100% Carbon Dioxide (CO2). The product adheres to AWS A5.18 and ISO 14341-A classifications (G 46 3 M14 3Si1 and G 46 4 M21 3Si1).
This wire is ideal for general metal construction projects, automotive applications, blacksmithing, and shipbuilding. It’s particularly well-suited for use in piping systems, providing excellent root pass welds and high-quality assemblies. Compatible with a wide range of steel grades as detailed in the technical specifications, including EN Ship steels, ASTM S185 – S355, and various grades of P235 – P355, L210 – L360, and A515. Welding parameters are provided for optimal results with GMAW, utilizing a flow rate of 12-15 l/min with M21 (Ar/CO2) or C1 (100% CO2) shielding gas.
