Selectarc MIG D25/09

This low carbon solid wire is specifically designed for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) of Duplex and Super Duplex stainless steels – materials characterized by an austenitic-ferritic microstructure. It offers exceptional resistance to pitting corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion, particularly in chloride-containing environments. The wire can withstand service temperatures up to +250°C and is suitable for components demanding a combination of high strength and corrosion resistance. It’s compatible with a range of Duplex and Super Duplex grades, including S31803, S32304, S32900, S32550, S32750, S32760, and others.

This wire is primarily used in GMAW applications for manufacturing pumps, vessels, and piping systems requiring high strength and excellent corrosion resistance. Specifically, it’s ideal for components exposed to aggressive environments, demanding high performance and long-term reliability. The recommended welding parameters, including shielding gas type and current ranges, are provided for optimal results with this wire.
