Selectarc MIG CUS
This solid wire is specifically designed for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) of oxygen-free copper and copper alloys. It boasts excellent flow characteristics and produces porosity-free weld seams thanks to the addition of Tin as an alloying element. The wire’s relatively low melting temperature and minimal projection capabilities make it ideal for a variety of applications. For applications requiring high electrical conductivity, MIG CUAG is the recommended alternative.
This wire is primarily used for welding electrical conductors, offering reliable and consistent results. It’s suitable for use with GMAW processes and is particularly effective on copper and copper alloy materials. Preheating is recommended for thicker sections, with temperatures ranging from 200°C to 500°C depending on the part thickness.
