Selectarc MIG CUA8

This solid MIG wire (ERCuAl-A1) is specifically designed for GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) of copper-aluminium alloys, particularly those with aluminium content up to 10%. It’s a versatile solution suitable for various applications, including heterogeneous assemblies between copper alloys, galvanised sheets, and special brass (CuZn20Al). It is also used for hardfacing of wearing surfaces, making it ideal for demanding environments like shipyards and the chemical industry (desalination of sea water).

The MIG CUA8 wire is primarily used in GMAW applications for joining copper-aluminium alloys. Its robust composition allows it to be employed in demanding scenarios such as shipbuilding, chemical processing (particularly seawater desalination), and hardfacing to extend the lifespan of wear-prone components. Specific welding parameters, including shielding gas type and current ranges, are provided for optimal performance.
