Selectarc MIG ALG4M

This solid wire is specifically designed for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) of Aluminium-Magnesium alloys with a composition similar to AlMg4.5Mn0.7 (A). The inclusion of Manganese (Mn) at 0.7% significantly enhances the mechanical strength of the deposited weld, providing superior resistance compared to standard AlMg5 grades. It is commonly used in applications demanding high strength and durability.

The MIG ALG4M wire is primarily used in demanding applications such as shipbuilding, wagon building, and the manufacture of tanks and trailers. It’s ideal for welding alloy base materials like DIN 5083 AlMg4.5Mn, 5086 AlMg4Mn, 5454 AlMg3Mn, 5754 AlMg3, and 7020 AlZn4.5Mg1, offering robust weld performance. Welding parameters, including current, voltage, shielding gas flow rate, and welding mode (Pulsed or + / Pulsed), are crucial for achieving optimal results. Refer to ISO 14175 for gas recommendations.
