Selectarc MIG ALG3

This solid wire is specifically designed for GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) processes of aluminium-magnesium alloys. It offers excellent resistance to saltwater corrosion and is suitable for a wide range of construction applications. The wire conforms to AWS 5.10, ISO 18273 standards and is commonly used in shipbuilding and shipyard installations, suitable for use with base materials such as DIN Material N° 3004 Al Mg1, 3.3315, 3005 Al Mg2.5, 3.3523, 3303 Al Mg3, 3.3535, and 5005 Al Mg Si0.5, 3.3206.

This wire is primarily utilized for GMAW welding of aluminium-magnesium alloys, particularly in demanding environments like shipbuilding and shipyard maintenance, where corrosion resistance is critical. It’s ideal for joining materials such as 3004 Al Mg1, 3.3315, 3005 Al Mg2.5, 3.3523, 3303 Al Mg3, 3.3535 and 5005 Al Mg Si0.5 3.3206. Welding parameters involving 15-20L/min of ISO 14175 shielding gas (100% Ar or Ar+ 5-30%He) with currents ranging from 100-150A, 130-200A or 170-260A at 18-22V, 18-25V or 20-27V are recommended.
