Selectarc MIG 20/10S

This solid wire, conforming to AWS A5.9 and ISO 14343-A specifications (G 19 9 L Si), is designed for GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) of stainless steels, including stabilized versions such as 347 and 321. It offers a low carbon composition with increased silicon content, suitable for applications demanding robust welding performance. It’s characterized by a chemical composition ranging from 0.65% to 0.03% carbon and 1.00% to 1.00% silicon, alongside crucial additions of manganese, chromium, and nickel. It boasts mechanical properties with minimum tensile strength (Rp0.2) of 320 MPa and elongation (A5) of 35%, making it a dependable choice for various welding needs.

This wire is primarily utilized for GMAW applications involving stainless steel welding, particularly for boiler making and piping systems. It’s specifically formulated for use with stainless steel grades like 304, 304L, 347, and 321, with service temperatures ranging from -120°C to +350°C. Proper welding parameters, including current, voltage, and shielding gas (typically ISO 14175 with Ar+0.5-5%CO2 or Ar+0.5-3%O2), are crucial for achieving optimal results. Back shielding with argon or nitrogen, or with a copper backing support, is recommended to prevent ‘back end’ rust formation. Key applications include structural welding and fabrication within the process industries.

Framatome entre au capital de Selectarc

Le 11 juin 2025 – Framatome annonce une prise de participation dans Selectarc à hauteur de 40%, aux côtés de son actionnaire majoritaire Viellard Migeon & Compagnie.
