Selectarc MIG 20/10NBS
This solid wire, designated MIG 20/10NBS, is formulated with increased silicon content and specifically designed for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) of stainless steels. It’s compatible with stabilised stainless steels such as 347, 321, or low carbon stainless steels like 304L and controlled carbon content 304H. The wire provides excellent intergranular corrosion resistance, making it suitable for demanding applications. The product adheres to AWS A5.9, ISO 14343-A and G 19 9 Nb Si classifications.
The MIG 20/10NBS wire is ideally suited for welding applications within the aerospace, petrochemical, and power plant industries. It’s designed to be used with stainless steels requiring high corrosion resistance and temperature stability. Recommended welding parameters include a current range of 70-180A, a voltage range of 18-26 kV, and a shielding gas mixture of Ar+0.5-5%CO2 (M12) or Ar+0.5-3%O2 (M13) at a flow rate of 15-20 l/min. Back shielding with Argon or Nitrogen gas, or with a copper backing support, is recommended to prevent ‘back end’ rust. It’s compatible with the following stainless steel grades: S30409, S30400, S32100, X10CrNiTi18-10, X10CrNi18-8, and S30403.
