Selectarc MIG 18/8MN
This solid wire is specifically designed for Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW) of austenitic steels enriched with high manganese. The weld deposit is non-magnetic and exhibits excellent resistance to cracking and self-hardening. It’s particularly well-suited for homogeneous and heterogeneous welding of manganese steels, such as Hadlfield steels (containing up to 13% Mn), as well as for difficult-to-weld materials. Furthermore, it’s frequently employed as a cushion layer before hardfacing, and for repairing components subjected to shock or wear.
The MIG 18/8MN wire is primarily used in civil engineering applications, including railway repairs and cement plant operations, alongside mining activities. Its properties make it ideal for demanding environments and applications requiring high strength and wear resistance.
