Selectarc MIG 16/8M

This solid wire, designated MIG 16/8M, is specifically formulated for GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding) of high-temperature stainless steels. It boasts a high carbon content and low ferrite characteristics, making it ideal for welding alloys like 304H, 316H, and 347H. The wire offers excellent creep resistance, allowing for applications up to 650-700°C. It is designed for use in demanding environments requiring robust welding performance.

Primarily used in the petrochemical, incineration, and nuclear industries. This wire is particularly suited for constructing and assembling components exposed to high temperatures and corrosive environments. Due to its properties, it’s frequently used with austenitic heat-resisting steels. Back shielding with argon or nitrogen gas, often in conjunction with a copper backing support, is recommended to prevent ‘back end’ rust phenomena.
