Selectarc Inox 13/4
This stainless electrode, designated Selectarc Inox 13/4, is specifically designed for the repair and construction welding of martensitic CrNi steels with a composition similar to CA6-NM, G-X5CrNi13-4, and X3CrNiMo13-4. It offers a stable arc, facilitates easy slag removal, and produces regular weld beads, making it suitable for applications involving hydraulic turbines, pumps, valve bodies, and compressor parts. The electrode contains 13% Chromium and 4% Nickel. It is classified according to AWS A 5.4: E410NiMo-15, EN 1600: E 13 4 B 4 2, and ISO 3581-A: E 13 4 B 4 2.
This electrode is primarily intended for welding martensitic stainless steels and castings. The recommended preheating of the base material to 100-150°C, followed by a cooling period to room temperature and subsequent Post-Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) at 580°C for 8 hours, ensures optimal weld quality. When welding, maintain a short arc and a slight electrode declination. Typical welding parameters include a current of 90A for a 2.5mm electrode, 130A for a 3.2mm electrode, and 150A for a 4.0mm electrode. Redrying at 300°C for 2 hours is also recommended.
