Selectarc HRT68

The Selectarc HRT68 is a tubular electrode filled with tungsten (W) and chromium (Cr) carbides, designed for highly abrasion-resistant welding. It features a stainless steel matrix with an excellent friction coefficient and a smooth melting process, producing a deposit that is not machinable. Introducing a second electrode increases the deposition rate. This electrode is primarily suitable for applications involving significant mineral abrasion and temperatures up to 300°C.

This tubular electrode is ideal for surfacing austenitic steels, cast iron, tool steels, and highly alloyed steels. It’s commonly used in civil engineering, agriculture, quarries, mines, and for components such as mixer blades, conveyor screws, and other parts subjected to extreme abrasion. A cushion layer can be applied using Selectarc 29/9 or 18/8Mn electrodes for optimal results.
