This high-impact resistant electrode (Rutile-basic, heavy coated) is designed for surface applications subjected to significant impact. It’s frequently used as a cushion layer before applying abrasion-resistant final layers, particularly with HBA or HB63, offering exceptional resistance to impact, wear, and cracking. The austenitic deposit, enriched with Nickel and Chromium, enhances its durability and resistance to abrasion. It is particularly suitable for repairing worn components and providing preventative protection in demanding environments.

This electrode is ideally suited for repairing heavily worn components, offering preventative protection in railway applications (rails, switches, crossings, tongues) in quarries and mines (crusher jaws, excavator and grab teeth, mill hammers, rock crusher). It functions effectively as a cushion layer prior to applying abrasion-resistant final layers, significantly extending the lifespan of the protected surfaces. It’s recommended for applications involving high impact loads and aggressive wear conditions.
