Selectarc HBC63
This Rutile-basic coated electrode (140% recovery) is designed for the surfacing of various cutting tools, including lathes and planes. The martensitic deposit, enriched with C-Cr-W-Mo-Co, provides resistance up to 550°C and withstands moderate shock. It’s also suitable for surfacing metal-on-metal wear. The weld metal exhibits a hardness of 61-65 HRC. Grinding is required for finishing.
Primarily used for hardfacing cutting tools, particularly lathe and plane tools. Suitable for surfacing metal-on-metal wear, and applications involving tire recycling, shear blades, punches and drills. Preheating is often required depending on the base material.
