Selectarc HB68

This heavy coated electrode is specifically designed for hardfacing applications subject to high abrasion, moderate impact, and elevated temperatures. It features a high alloy content, forming carbides and ensures easy welding with a smooth drop transfer, minimal slag content and a recovery rate of approximately 240%. The electrode is suitable for a variety of demanding environments.

Ideal for hardfacing steel mill components, crushers, conveyor screws, and dredger parts. It is particularly well-suited for environments requiring resistance to abrasion and impact. Welding parameters – short arc and almost vertical electrode position – are recommended to maintain low dilution and slightly weave the weld.
