Selectarc HB61R

The Selectarc HB61R is a rutile-basic coated hardfacing electrode designed for general purpose applications requiring resistance to impact, compression, and abrasion. It’s suitable for hardfacing C-steel, cast steel, and Manganese steel components, offering a tough and crack-resistant deposit with approximately 120% recovery.

This electrode is ideal for hardfacing a wide range of components subjected to heavy wear and tear, including block presses, crusher jaws, wheel rims, rollers, caterpillar tracks, ploughshares, running surfaces, and cutting edges. Preheating is recommended for materials like low alloy tool steels, with cooling occurring slowly in still air. Consider using a Selectarc 18/8Mn buffer layer for materials prone to cracking.
