Selectarc HB60
The Selectarc HB60 is a rutile-basic coated electrode specifically designed for surfacing machine and construction parts, as well as tools made from low-alloyed and cast steels. It offers a good balance between abrasion resistance and resistance to impact, resulting in a sound, crack-free deposit that is easily machinable by grinding. The electrode features an air-hardening deposit, low spatter formation, and a self-releasing slag, making it suitable for use with a variety of welding equipment.
This electrode is ideal for hardfacing applications such as moulds, scrapers, buckets, excavator parts, chisels, conveyor screws, track links, and cutting tools. It’s particularly well-suited for surfaces exposed to abrasion, shock, and pressure. Preheating is recommended for high alloy steels, and slow cooling after surfacing is advised for optimal results.
