Selectarc HB56HT
The Selectarc HB56HT is a basic coated electrode designed for hot working tools. It exhibits high hardness, toughness, and heat resistance, making it suitable for overlaying and rebuilding machinery parts and tools subjected to impact, compression, and wear at operating temperatures up to 550°C. It’s commonly used for building up hammers, dies, swages, hot shear blades, rollers, extrusion press pistons, and valves.
This electrode is primarily used for rebuilding and overlaying components experiencing high stresses and temperatures. Specific applications include hammers, dies, swages, hot shear blades, rollers, extrusion press pistons, and valves in machinery. It’s suitable for use with high-strength carbon steels and hot working steels, and requires a preheat of 250-400°C depending on the thickness of the workpiece.
