Selectarc HB Cavit
This high-resistance, synthetic basic coated electrode (Selectarc HB Cavit) is designed for applications involving high impact, erosion, and cavitation. It’s a robust solution for repairing and protecting equipment subjected to demanding conditions. The deposit is austenitic and boasts exceptional resistance to impact and wear, further enhanced by a high chromium content which significantly improves corrosion resistance. It’s frequently used as a cushion layer before hardfacing operations in cases of heavy reclaiming.
Primarily utilized for repairing worn or damaged components in industries such as hydropower, hydraulic presses, and turbine applications. Also suitable for protecting new components in these areas and as a preparatory layer before applying hardfacing alloys. Specifically effective on austenitic steels and martensitic stainless steels, particularly in environments with high impact loads and potential corrosion.
