Selectarc Fonte Fe

This is a special iron base electrode designed for repair welding of low-quality, slag or oil-containing old cast iron (furnace parts, boxes, heaters, pumps, etc.). It provides a smooth arc and deep penetration. However, the weld deposit requires machining by grinding. It’s crucial to utilize Selectarc Fonte-Ni and Ferro-Ni for subsequent fills after the initial bonding pass for butt welds.

Ideal for repairing damaged cast iron components such as furnaces, boxes, heaters, and pumps. Requires careful handling and processing – the deposited weld metal needs to be machined. Best suited for use as the initial bonding pass for butt welds, followed by Selectarc Fonte-Ni and Ferro-Ni for filling.
