Selectarc FCW 316L
This flux-cored wire is specifically designed for gas shielded (Ar + CO2) arc welding of 316L stainless steel. It offers high productivity, making it suitable for both down-hand and fillet welding applications. The wire features easy slag removal, and is recommended for use in various steel constructions, particularly in thermal plants and coastal construction, where service temperatures do not exceed 400°C. It is characterized by its robust mechanical properties, as defined by AWS A5.22, ISO 17633-A and M21 classifications.
This wire is ideal for welding 316L stainless steel in demanding environments such as thermal plants, coastal construction, and piping systems. It’s particularly well-suited for applications requiring high productivity and ease of slag removal, while maintaining the necessary mechanical properties for the intended service temperature (maximum 400°C). Welding parameters outlined in the technical specifications, employing shielding gas mixtures (Ar + CO2) and current ranges, ensure optimal weld quality and performance.
