Selectarc FCW 307P
This metal cored wire, type 307, is specifically designed for the shielded metal (Ar + CO2) arc welding of both austenitic stainless steels and manganese steels. It’s particularly suitable for difficult-to-weld materials and is magnetic non-stainless, offering resistance against hot cracking and work hardening. Ideal for use as a buffer layer before hardfacing grades sensitive to cracking or for dissimilar joints between stainless steel and steel construction. It’s also commonly used for repair parts subjected to shocks and friction. This wire is capable of being used in all welding positions.
This wire is primarily used in civil engineering applications, including road, rail, and fluvial construction, as well as in quarries and cement plants. It’s ideal for applications demanding high weld strength and resistance to cracking and wear. Recommended welding parameters are provided for FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding) using an Ar/CO2 shielding gas, with current ranges from 130 to 270 Amps. Consider it as a buffer layer during hardfacing operations and for jointing dissimilar materials.
