Selectarc FCW 2209P
This flux-cored wire is specifically designed for welding duplex steels in all positions using a gas shielded (Ar + CO2) arc welding process. It demonstrates excellent resistance to severe corrosive environments, including inter crystalline attack, pitting corrosion, and crevice corrosion, making it suitable for demanding applications. The wire features a rutile fast freezing characteristic allowing for welding in all positions. It’s compatible with materials like Uranus 45N, 2205, and 2304, commonly used in pumps, vessels, and piping systems exposed to chloride-containing solutions, as well as impellers and other components requiring high strength combined with corrosion resistance.
This flux-cored wire is primarily used for welding duplex stainless steel components, particularly in applications involving exposure to aggressive chemical environments. Ideal for fabrication of pumps, vessels, piping systems, impellers, and other critical parts needing high strength and resistance to corrosion, including chloride-containing solutions. It’s recommended for use in FCAW (Flux Cored Arc Welding) mode with a shielding gas of Ar/CO2. Welding parameters should be adjusted according to the specific application and material requirements.
