This metal cored wire is specifically designed for hardfacing applications. It utilizes a high chromium cast iron composition, providing exceptional resistance to abrasion and impact. Ideal for components subjected to extreme wear, it boasts corrosion resistance up to 300°C. The wire can be applied in 1, 2, or 3 layers via FCAW welding, with grinding as the only machining method permitted. The austenitic matrix, enriched with chromium carbides, ensures durability and performance in demanding environments.

This hardfacing wire is suitable for a wide range of heavy-duty applications, particularly in industries involving severe abrasion and high temperatures. Common uses include the construction and maintenance of excavators, crushing equipment, railway ballast tampers, dredge buckets, coke hammers, rippers, sizing screens, and components for the steelmaking industry. It’s also frequently utilized for wear plates, Muller tires, catalyst lift pipes, pump impellers, fan blades, and Rockwool rolls, where increased resistance to wear is crucial.
