Selectarc Co1

This hardfacing electrode utilizes a rutile-basic coating and a cobalt-based deposit of « Stellite Grade 1 » (Co-Cr-W). It’s recognized as the hardest Selectarc Co-type, boasting superior wear and corrosion resistance up to 800°C. Featuring a very low coefficient of friction and excellent resistance to erosion and cavitation, this electrode is ideal for demanding applications.

This hardfacing electrode is suitable for a wide range of applications, including the hardfacing of rollers, rails, bearings, and shafts in pumps and extrusion nozzles. It’s particularly well-suited for hot cutting tools and conveyor screws. Recommended preheating is 250-400°C, and a slow cooling process should be followed to minimize the risk of cracks. Consider using Selectarc 307 R or 29/9 for cushion layers.
