Selectarc BRAZETAIN F Pb 40
BRAZETAIN F-Pb 40 is a binary alloy primarily composed of Tin and Lead, approaching the eutectic composition. This brazing alloy is formulated with a CR flux (Class 2: 1.6 – 2.6 %) and exhibits a low acidity level (Acidity Ind: 200, ECl > 0.7%). It offers a chemical composition with specific limits for Tin (60%), Lead (40%), Silver, Cadmium, Antimony, Iron, Zinc, Aluminum, and Arsenic, alongside maximum impurity levels. This product is designed for welding and brazing applications.
BRAZETAIN F-Pb 40 is typically utilized for brazing applications, particularly for joining ferrous metals. It’s suitable for use at temperatures ranging from 330 to 380 °C. The properties of the brazed joint are influenced by numerous factors, including base metal characteristics, joint design, and metallurgical interactions. Thorough cleaning of the residue after brazing is highly recommended. This alloy is offered in various sizes, including spool formats from 0.5 to 5 mm, and can be custom-sized upon request.
